Who We Are
Our Story
and Values

Our History
Help To Serve began with a simple belief: small acts of kindness can spark real change.
Founded by Balvinder Kumar, a lawyer and advocate for women and children, our work started in the Greater Toronto Area, supporting local shelters and schools. Over time, what began as grassroots efforts grew into a registered non-profit — rooted in compassion, community, and care.
Today, we continue to uplift women, children, and seniors through food drives, school programs, and essential care — powered by volunteers and neighbours who believe in serving with love.
Our Vision
To create a community where every woman, child, and elder feels supported, seen, and empowered to thrive.
We envision a future where no family struggles alone — where compassion connects us, and dignity is at the heart of every action we take.
Our Team
Help To Serve is led by Balvinder Kumar, Shweta Sinha, and Rekha Iyer, a leadership team guided by heart, humility, and purpose.
They are supported by a growing community of passionate volunteers who are committed to giving their time, energy, and care to help underserved communities and create meaningful, lasting impact.
Our Kits
OUR KITS
Back to School Supplies
We collect new and unopened school supplies, which are carefully packed into backpacks and distributed to children through shelter homes and schools across the Peel region, helping them start the school year prepared and supported.
Care Kits
We work closely with communities to understand the specific needs of women and children, source essential hygiene and care items through community support and partnerships, and volunteers thoughtfully prepare and distribute kits that offer dignity, comfort, and everyday relief.
Christmas Hampers
Families who may need extra support during the festive season are brought food and seasonal essentials made possible through generous community contributions.
Food Boxes
We prepare nutritious food baskets filled with essential staples such as grains, lentils or beans, oil or butter, and fresh green vegetables to support families in need. To contribute food items, please email us at helptoserveall@gmail.com or donate through the link provided.
