Balvinder Kumar — Founder
Balvinder Kumar, a lawyer, mediator, writer, and mentor, is the Founder of Help to Serve. Through Help to Serve, she has been working for the cause of women and children with deep sensitivity to cater to their day-to-day needs. She has partnered with women's shelter homes, not-for-profit organizations, outreach centers, and schools in the Peel-Halton region, to serve women and children, providing them basic necessities, working with children of low-income family groups in schools providing them with required school supplies and reading books. She is a strong supporter of women empowerment and advancement.

Shweta Sinha — Director
Insurance Professional & Community Advocate
Shweta Sinha brings over 25 years of experience across the insurance and social work sectors. Her passion lies in helping individuals and families achieve their insurance and investment goals through personalized support and trusted guidance.
Shweta’s commitment to community service runs just as deep. She has a Masters in Social Work, and has been an active member of Help to Serve for the past 8 years, contributing her time and leadership to programs that uplift vulnerable women, children, and seniors. Her journey in social work began in India, where she worked closely with rural communities, and has continued in Canada through her involvement with various charitable initiatives.
An enthusiastic and driven individual, Shweta is known for embracing opportunities beyond her comfort zone and for making a meaningful difference wherever she can.

Rekha Iyer — Director
With over 20 years of experience in marketing and branding, Rekha Iyer brings both strategic insight and heart to everything she does. Currently serving as the Perpetual Inventory Manager at Loblaws, Rekha has spent the last 14 years refining complex systems, streamlining operations, and helping one of Canada’s largest retailers run with precision.
But her story doesn’t end in the corporate world.
Rekha’s true passion lies in service. While in India, she served as Secretary and later President of the Inner Wheel Club of Anand, one of the largest women’s voluntary service organizations in the world. During her tenure, she led the adoption of an entire village, implementing critical social and medical programs that improved access, dignity, and well-being for hundreds.
Now, as a Director at Help To Serve, Rekha continues to channel her skills, compassion, and quiet determination into building lasting impact. Whether leading in boardrooms or in underserved communities, she is driven by one belief: that real change begins with showing up — consistently, thoughtfully, and with purpose.
